Porphyra spp.
Laver, nori,
It’s a common species of red seaweed. It’s just a sheet of cells but there’s a lot more to it than that…….Where does it go in the Summer? It looks so completely different in summer that it used to be classified as a different species. This one is all about how Dr Kathleen Mary Drew-Baker worked out the life history and saved the nori industry of Japan.
